It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas was originally a hit for Perry Como and the Fontane Sisters with Mitchell Ayres and his Orchestra in 1951.

Composed by Meredith Willson, the popular belief was that Willson wrote the song whilst staying in the Grand Hotel in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

Whilst the arrangement doesn't feature the Fontane sisters, it does seek to capture the full palette of orchestral colour as heard on the 1951 original recording, with tenor horns often playing the part of the female close harmony group.
