Commissioned by Matthew White and The GUS Band, this short virtuosic piece is built around a traditional Japanese pentatonic scale. Emerging from the mists of time into a scene of battle, it's bravura aplenty as our warrior showcases skill and mastery of their chosen weapon. A brief contemplative moment of respect for a worthy foe breaks up the action, before one final flourish of virtuosity as the killing blow is deftly delivered...
